Twitter Power

I’m reading this story on CNN about a fatal shooting at Virginia Tech. See it here. At the same time, I’m getting IMs from Twitter from Kevin Cupp, Virginia Tech student, blogger and podcaster. As we speak, he’s stuck on campus while the police track down the gunman.

One may question the point of a service like Twitter. I know I did at first. But after this morning, I’m glad to know I’m on it and that Kevin is doing just fine.
